$90000 in student loan for a bachelor’s degree in engineering?
I am about to drown myself in $90,000 worth of student loans to complete my bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University. IS IT WORTH IT is my question??? am I making the worst decision of my life? My rationalization for this is that I will be able to pay off this loan with $1500 worth of monthly payments for 5 years, this should not be a problem if I get a job with average starting salary for engineering majors; am I right in thinking this? What should I do? I am a junior, just have one more year to go.
Honestly, if this is something that you want to do, you should go for it. Yes, that is a LOT of money but you could very possibly pay it all off. I mean, you could even pay off a less amount of money per month. And, could you qualify for some scholarships, or grants? Remember to look into those too, because they can really help you financially! Good luck with whatever you choose!
