Can you three Americans from different backgrounds who have had an impact on education?

Hello, I need to find atleast 3 people that I have on education influenced or changed the way it is today to write.

I can not with Obama, since they are already used as an example.
It may be MLK
(Martin Luther King Jr.)
He fought for the right for students of all colors the same education as whites have to do to all children of all colors could go to school, had black books with shit, while whites had the best books.
