Education Debt – MoneySolve Calls for Debt Education

Debt advice specialists at MoneySolve are calling for improved debt education for adults in the United Kingdom. The call comes after the Government recently announced plans for money management classes in schools as part of the National Curriculum. While experts at MoneySolve believe that this is an excellent move, they also believe there is still a gap in educating adults, commenting that:

“Educating children about money and budgeting is a wonderful move and is excellent news. But this doesn’t address the issue of the adults who have not had any of the same sort of help. We speak to people every day who are in well over their heads with excessive debts. Sometimes it’s people who know exactly what they need to do and are seeking something specific, such as IVA advice. But on many occasions, we’re dealing with consumers who have no idea of the options available to them and are in a panic wondering if there even is an option for them.”

The specialists at MoneySolve also believe that a back to basics approach with general money management could lead, in the long term, to a more financially savvy Britain.
