What is your opinion on the reform of education in the United Kingdom?
Personally, I’m glad something is being done to restore its respectability.
I was a lecturer in secondary and higher education for many years and I can confirm that many students come to us hardly read. Enrolling in advanced courses and diplomas can not build basic sentences and paragraphs. You are not even aware of their own ignorance, and often can not understand the criticism of their attempts to missions.
They are the product of a secondary school system, who believed “everyone should have a price” and that no one ever heard negative comments about their efforts. You have a real culture shock when an environment where it is important that you enter it correctly!
So some kind of reform is long overdue!
